Meet our Assistant Principal, Mrs. Accolla

 

 

Mrs. Accolla began her career in education in 2003 as a fifth grade teacher in Virginia Beach, Virginia.  She moved to South Carolina in 2009 and continued teaching fifth grade at Oakbrook Elementary in Summerville, SC.  While at Oakbrook, she taught fifth grade in both the gifted and talented and inclusion classroom setting.  Mrs. Accolla moved to Mount Pleasant and continued teaching fourth and fifth grade at Pinckney Elementary and Carolina Park.  In 2020 Mrs. Accolla transitioned into the role as the assistant administrator at Carolina Park Elementary up until she accepted the position to be the Assistant Principal at Pinckney Elementary.

Mrs. Accolla is a two-time Teacher of the Year.  She played division one field hockey and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Radford University and obtained her Master’s in Educational Leadership from the Citadel.  Mrs. Accolla lives in Mount Pleasant with her husband, Chris, and two children, Harper and Weldon.  Outside of school Mrs. Accolla enjoys spending time with family, exercising, and playing on the beach.
