OOORAH Marines!!
       You are probably wondering why my room is based on the Marine Corps. Well, to put it simply, it is about three words HONOR, COURAGE, and COMMITMENT. The Marine Corps has encouraged those who have joined to display each of these values in their lives. Whether you are in the Marine Corps or not, everyone can display these values in their everyday life. It is my hope that I can instill these values, along with dependability, integrity, judgment, enthusiasm, unselfishness, initiative, and loyalty,in your child to help them be the very best student they can be!! 

This will be my seventh year at Pinckney. I have not worked at another school or grade level because I was hired right after I completed my student teaching here in third grade. After my first year of teaching, I was recognized by the Charleston County School District as“Rookie Teacher of the Year”. In my second year of teaching, I was again recognized by the county as one of the “TOP” teachers that had raised MAP scores by 80% or more in either reading and/or math. I have had an amazing career and I cannot wait to see what is in store this coming year. Fourth Grade here we come!!
