Welcome to Pinckney!

blue ribbonExcellence is not only our standard at Charles Pinckney Elementary School; it is a state of mind and an expectation of the community we serve. Our school is part of a three-school campus, nestled within 100 acres of land and surrounded by woodlands. The school serves 1140 students in grades 3-5.

At Pinckney Elementary, our mission is to provide each student with an extensive range of educational opportunities in a nurturing environment. The staff and faculty, in partnership with families, ensure a healthy balance of rigorous instruction, extracurricular activities, and social opportunities for our students.

Though we have celebrated many successes over the past ten years, we are most proud of having received the prestigious National Blue Ribbon Award. In addition, the school has been recognized as a Palmetto Gold School for eleven consecutive years and most recently received the Gold Award for Closing the Achievement Gap. Pinckney has maintained an “excellent” rating from the State Department of Education since it first opened in 1999.

The support we receive from parents and community members fosters ongoing success for our students and allows us to maintain an environment of academic excellence for all of our students.

We are so proud of Mr. Nesbit, our Day Porter, who was recognized for his outstanding contributions and had lunch with Dr. McGinley.  Congrats, Mr. Nesbit!
